Question

Hi folks,

I need to format 45 desktop PC's before they are collected at the end of the week. I'm looking for a utility (must fit on a diskette) that will do a secure format (i.e. multiple passes writing zeros) of the disk drive.

Anyone have anything that can be fully automated?

1 pass of zeros on the free version of killdisk at:

http://www.killdisk.com/eraser.htm

It fits very nicely on a floppy.

The 'paid for' version meets several standards for data deletion and does multiple passes.

I hope this helps.

GDisk (part of the Symantec Ghost Suite I think) does a similar job, up to scary levels of data wiping standards.
