Pro Evolution Soccer 3 for the PS2

 

Jak II Renegade on PS2 - great platformer.

 

Need for Speed Underground will be the bomb - loads of super tricked up cars in drag races etc....pretty cool....you just hit the NOS button and everything blurs big time, also cool turbo/dump valve noises !!

Not sure when its released tho

 

Cheers guys - forgot to say, anything except ball-sport games (bar speed ball!)

Ratchet & Clank just released on Platinum range for PS2

Timesplitters 2 available in WH Smiths in 2 for £30 offer.

Tomb Raider Angel of Darkness is Ok but not a patch on the PS1 games - the Soundtrack is excellent but the whole game is let down by the worst control system ever!

 

Jak II on the PS2 is very good.

Coming next month though .. Medal of Honour Rising Sun

The Pearl Harbour level looks superb!

 

Viewtiful Joe on the GC.

 

Soul Calibur 2. An essential purchase even if you're not a fan of fighting games, you soon will be! Slightly different characters available between PS2 and GC too.

 

Not so sure about Jak2. The original was good but I can't get on with this one, there's too many major flaws. I'd definately go for Ratchet & Clank over Jak2, half the price too!

 

Don't Forget Gran Turismo 4 - expected by Christmas, although judging by GT3 that'll be Christmas 2004.

Ratchet & Clank 2 looks great too. If Jak & Daxter and Ratchet & CLank look like the same game, its because they nearly are, built off the same game engine, and I have to say that they are the best platformers I've ever played - blows that Nintendo Plummer out of the water.

gran turismo 4 unfortunatly has been delayed till "early new year" due to the online capacity not performing perfectly,my guess is feb/march release but who knows?? hurry up i say, by the way soul caliber 2-an excellent choice

Coming next month Mario Kart and 1080 Snowboarding both for the GC - must have titles.

 

CMR4, is quite good but I`d wait a couple of weeks for WRC3.
