Is there a minimum spec for a TFT monitor to work, or could one be added to any PC/graphics card?

Thanks. I thought that was the case, but also thought I'd better check before spending loads of the companies cash, as some of the PCs are fairly low spec.

Only thing you want to think about is if the pc(s) that the TFT monitor(s) are going onto have an On-Board graphics card.

If so you may get problems with the monitor looking blurry because some on-board graphics cards won't give you the refresh rate you need to get them looking clear/sharp.

Errr, dude, most onboard graphics solutions that have been made in the last 4 years all support 640, 800 and 1024 at refresh rates of upto 85hz. Most TFT's have an optimal refresh rate of 60hz, going to no more than 75hz really in some cases. I am confused as to what exactly you are trying to say tbh .

Cheers,

Nick.

What you could mean more likely is that with a lot of the onboard cheaper solutions, the quality of the VGA signal that the cards send out to the screen are weaker and this can have a noticeable effect on the end screen result on TFT's like most screens. Seen that more than once before.

theres no minimum spec but if you like gaming i'd avoid cheap ones as you'll get ghosting and avoid low refresh rates as it will just look pants. i know alot of people who have come back to crt monitors as they're still far superior even if they're massive in comparison to tft
