XBox HDD gone t1ts up - how do I format a new one?

As topic sez - bought a new hdd as the last one died. How do I format a new one to work?

Do you have a backup of the contents of your original HD? If not then you will have to "obtain" a copy.

If you have the original files, the easiest way is install the HD to burn EvoX to a suitable disc, then connect to the Xbox over Ethernet using FlashFXP. You then issue the suitable commands, reboot, copy over the files and job done.

Good tut at Xbox Scene. Don't forget to use ConfigMagic to lock the drive if you want to use Live or the original MS Dash.

cheers - I don't have a backup of my HDD. Just use it for playing games....

Will look into it in a bit more detail

cant remember if they are xbox specific but due to an upgrade ive got an 80gig filled with games ive got spare
