McRae 4 demo
#1
I got the demo disc for PS2 the other day and Colin McRae 4 is on it but it still has the voice of Nicky Grist as co-driver Are they going to sort it out for the proper game before release? Game was a good improvement over McRae 3 and I was shocked when the car stalled and I just sat there and thought what do I do

The stalling cracked me up too Nice new touch. Oil light comes on and engine stalls. Managed to get all 4 tyres off too, nice sparks from the rims
Got the full version on X-Box (as have a few others on here ). Is it Nicky Grist ? Didn't take too much notice

yep - agreed. MUCH better. Blows CMR3 out of the water The handling is great, as is the damage model
Like the idea of "testing" for new parts - great game. Haven't been able to put it down since I got it

Bought it yesterday, initially disapointed, played it for a few hours, still disapointed, roll on WRC 3. I`ll go & play it play it some more, it might grow on me. Neil.

I got it the other day without playing the demo. i am impressed with the game and it is definately better than cmr3.
The co driver is derek ringer but i really couldnt stand him after about only 10 minutes so i searched around the options and found co driver b (aka the welsh wizard nicky grist) and this for me has made the game perfect for me for now.

IMO the X-Box version is better. Played the PS2 version on my mates and its not far off, but X-Box version 'feels' better. Maybe its just the analogue triggers though, can't beat them for driving games.

Hmm, first impressions of the Xbox version were not great, it didn't look like a state of the art game. Felt OK, annoyed that my favourite view is not available, always liked the view down the bonnet. Find the in car view a bit limited.
Will have to see if I can try the PS2 version in a shop...
Managed to get 1st in the first rally first go so it doesn't seem that hard...
Did find it got better after 30 mins of play though.
