Question

I have no chance of getting broadband for a long time as I live in the sticks but I have found this......

http://www.everywherebroadband.com/

Does anyone know if this satellite broadband is any good or is it a con as £200 is a lot of money to get set up as well as £20 a month. Thanks.

John.

Hello

It depends what you use the internet for.

General browsing is a poor experience with satellite as each request takes a long time to connect to the server via satellite and then start sending the page to you. Gaming is also not good.

If you spend your life downloading large files, then satellite is okay. As once you have a connection, the stream of data is at a fast rate.

Personally I would probably use ISDN.

Have you thought about starting or supporting a local campaign to get Broadband in your town?

Steve.
