Question

Yahoo! got my broadband with Pipex when BT said I couldn't have it so I'm very happy. I've just tried to download a movie clip but my media player won't save it, what am I doing wrong?

Downloaded from where? Is it a clip or the whole shibang... did you use software to download it or did you right click the link and "save target as".

More information needed

Unhappy

I downloaded a link and it opened windows media, WM then downloaded a decrompressor to play the link. The video file played but stopped to buffer, I then thought that I would be able to watch the whole thing from the beggining once it had finished but no

I'll try to right click and save the file to hard disc and play that way or should there be something else? I couldn't save as from the WM player.

Loading it straight to wmp is streaming it although normally things like this are kept in your temp folder..... you need to save it out to your HD.

Question

Thanks SG, it worked a treat. My problem now is that one movie file saved ok and played the first few seconds but the rest was corrupted (sorta looked like interference), could this need another decompressor?
