Question

Bit perplexed, never had problems with this sort of thing before.

Put drive into computer, brand new drive, bios can see it and ID it as primary slave.

It won't come up under the windows xp command prompt nor will explorer see the drive. I cannot get windows to see it properly and nor do i see the format option anywhere.

Anyone help? Just wanting to format my new drive

You may well need a tool from the manufacturer. Had to do this to get a Western Digital drive to be recognised in XP.

Whats the make/model ?
