Internet Browser Parasites (IE6)

Any good utility for finding and removing these?
Mainly have problem with pop up ads which result from these parasites.
Have just found 4 separate parasites on my laptop ("FavoriteMan", "ShopAtHomeSelect") - Anti Virus doesn't seem to look for these. I've removed all 4 manually, though still get the odd pop up. I've got a pop up killer, though that's not that great as it kills pop ups I want (Auto Trader ads).
I need Internet Explorer for work. Are there other Browsers I can use alongside IE? (Netscape - any others?)
