B&Q actually sell normal and crossed patch cables (Male-Male), they also do a lot of the netwrking bits there as well, pop down there and get the bits that you nede to make up what you want.

I'm after a short male to female crossed e'net cable. A 6" one is fine (pnrr pnrrr ...). So's I can then use a normal straight through one with it as noone I visit seems to have crossed cables.

Anyone know where I could get one?

any pc shop should do em m8
minimum 1 metere usually i rekon

I know! i was shocked the other week when I was in B&Q and I spotted patch panels, face plates etc...

Yes they charge a bit more than I used to pay, but hey it is convenient!
