Can anyone recommend a simple slidesow utility?

I have a series of pictures that I want to show like a slide projection. To be able to control next slide appearing and to have all the software and slides burnt on a CD to take whilst travelling to be able to function on any windows PC with a projector attached.

This seems a relatively simple thing - is there any freeware available to do this?

Could use PowerPoint as most places that the lecture is required will have that, but it seems a lot of messing around to put every single picture into a slide when all that is required is the image on a screen!

If the puters you are displaying your images on are windows then you can use the built in "viewer" cant you?

 

Aha - found 'Artsee' and 'IrfanView' - both freeware as far as I can see...

One of these should do the job.
