more annoying than anything else, as I can cut n paste to wordpad in an emergency, but does anybody have a similar problem?
the message I get is something about script errors on the page? I've tried looking at the options list but I can't see anything obvious..!
Seems to have started since the virus thing a few weeks back. BTW I've cleaned and 'stingered' the system a few times since.
any help appreciated!

Yip my mate has the same sort of thing since slammer. Something about svhhost or something. I said I would have a look at the weekend when I go down. He can't print web pages or copy and paste etc.
It would be good to know what it is.

Yeah my IE started playing up after the Security Update for the blaster worm.
Wont open Javascript popups. I'm on XP.
I'm telling you this cos during my google groups trawl for solutions your issue was often mentioned in the same threads as mine.
Loads of suggestions on the groups and Micrsoft knowledge base but still havent solved it. Even managed to reinstall IE through some registry hack and still no joy. Next step is probably re-building the system from scratch . Unless someone here suggests something .
Mind it meant I found out about the joys of using Mozilla Firebird. Its a Freebie, seems quicker than IE and has some nice features and I can put off that rebuild.
Good Luck

yep, downloaded the patches from the ms site, as well as all of the usual crap you're asked to do with XP.
Rebuild not really an option, complete novice really
at least I can still c&p - just!

Mmmm Ok try this if you want
run stinger again to make sure its not there dpending on when you ran it last
It should be done after patches have been installed
Then go into tools on your browser
internet options
Advance tab
in browsing tick the disable script debugging if its not ticked

Sound familiar?
http://support.microsoft.com/default...en-us%3b281679
"When you use the Print command or the Print Preview command in Internet Explorer, nothing may happen"
You could try this but didnt help me but some people had success.
Theres more of the same on Google groups.
This guy sounds hopeful:
http://groups.google.co.uk/groups?hl...%26scoring%3Dd
(hope that url came out it was a biggy )
If not search for "ie6 stopped printing" on http://groups.google.co.uk/
This following link tells u how to reinstall IE6 or XP or both - gulp!
http://support.microsoft.com/default...;EN-US;Q318378
I've done the IE one but still no luck. My printing works fine though.
My problems started when I installed the security update and then 2 days later installed Java runtime. Although what Java runtime has to do with Javascript popups I dont know. Curiouser and curiouser.

Do you get this :
System: XP Pro Sp1 & Internet Explorer 6 Sp1
An error has occurred in the script on this page.
Line: 639
Char: 1
Error: Invalid Argument
Code: 0
URL: res://C:\WINDOWS\System32\shdoclc.dll/preview.dlg
Will not print from print preview or print.
You could try this :
Register the Iepeers.dll file. To do this, click Start, point to Run, and then type the following line: regsvr32 IEPEERS.DLL Click OK.
