Question

How can I extract a single image from an AVI file???????

I'm sure there must be an easy way but I can't think of it!!!!!

either print screen button next to f12 and then open up paint and choose edit->paste or in power dvd snapshot and again paint edit->paste

also if prt scr doesn't snap shot you'll need to go
Start->Control panel->Display->settings->advanced->Trouble shoot and turn the hardware acceleration down to none on the slider bar.
(this was posted by someone a while ago van't remember who though)

I belive BS Player allows you to scroll through frames. Find your frame and screen shot that.. or allow BS Player to copy that frame.
