I'm not running version 7 at the moment Luke, but have in the past with no trouble at all - everything turned on. Are you getting an error message or is something messed up only when HAWK's enabled?

No worries.
What is HAWK? (VS 6.x)
Summary: This document describes functionality and compatibility of HAWK for VirusScan 6 and VirusScan Professional 6.
HAWK (Hostile Activity Watch Kernel) is a VirusScan option that enables constant monitoring for suspicious activity that may indicate a virus is present on your system. Suspicious activity includes:
An attempt to forward email to a large portion of your address book.
Attempts to forward multiple email messages in rapid succession.
Email attachments containing program files (executable files with an .exe file extension) or scripts that can be used to mask the actual type document transmitted to you.
To make sure that HAWK can protect you from email viruses, make sure that you stay updated with the current DAT files.
Detailed instructions available:
http://www.mcafeehelp.com/faq3.asp?docid=61072
HAWK currently supports only Microsoft Outlook and will only show as enabled if Outlook is actually running. HAWK does not currently support Outlook Express. This feature is being evaluated for inclusion in VirusScan 7.
If you are having trouble with random HAWK crashes, make sure that you update to the latest version of VirusScan. Patches are available at:
