Lotus Notes/HP printer causes PC to reboot
#1
I have a HP Laserjet 2200 series printer (networked) in the building , which normally prints fine. However if a user tries to print an emial from Lotus Notes , which contains an attachment , then it reboots the PC instantly.
Printing a mail without attachments does not cause a problem , neither does any other application.
Any ideas ???

Which version of:
Notes,
printer driver
OS
are you using?
Is it just one user that's having this problem or every Notes user using that printer. Is it possible to try printing to a local printer?

It restarts the PC instatntly , and it happens no matter what PC you print from. It only affects this particular printer and only printing a mail with an attachment.
I'm using windows 2000 sp3 on all machines and Lotus Notes R5

Presume you're using HP's LJ2200 drivers and it's JetDirect'ed?
I'd set a new queue on the server using the bog standard NT / W2000 drivers for a LaserJet 4. Map the clients to it using the default Windows LJ4 driver and see what happens?

Fixed it.
I had to install the Win 2K driver locally on each PC , for some reason the driver which was installed from the NT4 print server (which also included a driver for win 2K) was not sufficient.
