Im not joking but at the moment its takening at least 3 attempts to load any web site, keeps getting cannot find server, when it does load it is so slow.

Is it just me or a national wide problem? Im getting really fed up now.

I'm on NTL / NTHELL as its more commonly known and its fine for me and most web sites loading fine. Quite a few people have being hit by the sobig-f virus, so could be why a few sites unavailable

NTL(Glasgow) Never had problems, BBand and cable.

Tuner on TV box went one night and called them when I got in from work. 10mins and guy gave me a tip to get cableTV on and a engineer was at my door the NEXT day AS arranged and changed my box FOC in 5mins!!

Good in my book.

there is an update patch that has been download and that is slowing down the pc's its Q811493 if that is on your pc delete it as micro soft is admitting there is problems with it

Q811493 has been fixed, allegedly. Got it installed on all of my PCs with no performance problems.

Yep, it's dire for me as well Si.

I think it's still the DNS problem they have been working on

I'm just trying to find out if they have resolved the issue, or if it's still ongoing, but I'm having problems getting to their site

NTL has been slow the last couple of days for web and mail access (Berks). Web space is even worse.
