Auto Disconnect - how do I get it back?

I've lost Auto Disconnect that usefully comes up if you close Internet explorer (someone clicked on the option not to use it anymore....)

How do I get it back? I've looked in most likely places

Help!

Depends on the operating system, but try Tools > Internet Options > Connections tab > highlight your connection, click Settings > Properties > Dialing > tick "Disconnect when connection may not be needed"
