I guess it must be pretty straightforward but has anyone dumped a DVD onto their Hard drive ?
I want to take a few films on hols with me but would rather run from the Hard drive than from the DVD itself.

6 Gig for 1 DVD ?????
Smart ripper tells me that it needs just under 6 Gig to copy a DVD to my HD ? Surely thare has to be a better way that uses less disk space?

Any options to drop the stuff like special features or maybe soundtracks you don't want using the software you are using ?
6GB is the low end, many films I've loaded onto the laptop for watching while travelling come in at around the 6 - 8 GB mark.
Cheers
