Date stamped log file in NTBACKUP
#1
I call NT backup from a scheduled batch file that runs each night, which in turn creates a log file to showing the backup contents and verification details.
How can I create a log file each night that uses the date/time as its filename?

set d1=%date%
set dd=%d1:~4,2%_
set mm=%d1:~7,2%_
set yy=%d1:~12,2%
set fd=%dd%%mm%%yy%.log
move c:\websec~1.log c:\logs\%fd%
{replace c:\websec~1.log to you logfile name)
remember to use the 8.3 filename format
BB
save this as a batchfile and let win2k schedule it
