Cleaning standard goop away and applying "Ceramique"?

Just about to mount the CPU but thought i'd check here for ideas on
1. have I cleaned off the standard "pad" with the right cleaner?
2. have I got the space for the "goop" big enough ?

Can't wait any longer, must be together before bed
applied goop to slug and slapped the heat sink over it in the end..
Think I was trying to be too critical

Can't use ceramique paste without removing standard pad.
Up and running now anyway..... finally

48 Deg C
In a nice Lian Li PC-60 case.
think I need some sort of software to keep an eye on it.
Who rates Si soft Sandra or what ever the name is ?
