looking to convert WAV files to mp3,

any software that allows me to pick mp3 quality ie rate of

128 or 105 or something like that

Nero has an add-on for MP3Pro... which allows you to select up to 320 I think in bit rate levels. Personally reckon that 192 is on a par with WAV files, anything higher makes the MP3 files too big...

Bizarrely, you have to deselect the actual MP3Pro setting to get the range of rates available.

Try cdex, its free and uses the LAME converter so the sound quality is very good. Has just about every bit rate and type you could image. I've been using it on my cd collection in preperation of getting my dension head unit next week.
