Nothing major, removing the core shims, lapping down either the normal heatsinks or lapping down Chrome orb coolers with Titan Majesty fans fitted for higher CFM's and less noise, lapping down either Tweatmonster BGA or Revision 4 heatsinks and attaching the heatsinks with wafer thin layers of thermal epoxy.
Cheers,
Nick
P.S. The only real decent mod is the one that I am doing to mine with a TEC and watercooling.

Tbh mate, it is only really enthusiasts that like to do that sort of thing. The RAMsinks are getting on for £25 after you include vat and delivery, the Chrome orb is £9-10 and I write off a cpu heatsink using the fan from it. Add say £20 for a couple of hours workand materials and then postage back and you are talking about £60. If you don't need it to look all pretty or have more piece of mind when overclocking.
Cheers,
Nick
