Have a Sony DSC-F77 and I am pants at using it.

Wanted one for track days etc, but if anyting is moving faster than I can walk images are blurry and dull.

Same hear went to Silverstone on Sunday to the GP and all the pics i took are crap[img]images/smilies/mad.gif[/img]

http://www.dpreview.com/ has some good forums.

For motorsport use you're going to need a very fast shutter speed, maybe around 1/2000 sec to avoid getting motion blur (unless you've perfected your paning technique). Can you set the shutter speed on your camera?

Cheers Chris.

I have an SLR that is better for fast action, but I didn't realise that digital is so poor in this field.

Will look at forums for tips.

It depends on the camera - AndyC is really the person to ask but a quick shutter is going to help a lot IMO.
