It's just been politely pointed out to me that our internet activity log has spotted I've been on Scoobynet during work hours.
I can see the point (I'm paid to work, not goof off on the internet) but it was ironic that at the time I was told this I'ld given up my lunch-break to be in supervision with my boss...
Anyway, is there any way of avoiding being spotted? Our Firewall/Proxy is Novell Border Manager but I don't know what else IT are using
I suppose the alternative is to come up with a particularly clever solution to a softyware problem and engineer finding the answer here in this forum so I can say "it was work-related, so there!"
Currently I'm working on producing a report via Excel Subtotals & Pivottables to get information out of MicroSurveys Codeman which is a complete pig to get reports out of; Also we're looking at Housing Databases from Orchard & IBS (both Progress databases) and Comino

you could setup a site forwarder on another web server...
set it so that if you goto your (home) webserver it just returns Scoobynet
you can do this with :
- netcat (nc on *nix)
- php
or any other serverside scripting langauge...
if you get what i mean
cheers,
simon.
(or go on www.scoobyzone.co.uk as well to break it up the stats )
