Is there such a thing as a standalon Crystal Report viewer for Version 8.0, I have a single *.rpt file that I would like people to view but we dont have crystal server :-(

All help appreciated.

not really iirc.. open in crystal reports and export it as something different..

I thought Crystal allows you to distribute reports? Ie. it creates a set-up package along with a bunch of DLLs it needs. Not sure if you can still do that in V8. Alternatively if you have the option of developing your own, write one. Especially easy in .NET, mate of mine knocked one up in an afternoon.

Alternatively get a PDF driver and output to PDF. We use that method to distribute to client for sign off on reports.

cheers for the help guys, but im still stuck, the thing is we have a company who produce rpt files for us from our LDC collection system, and we need some people in the building to be able to view them, they need to be up to date so exporting as another format is not an option :-(

I continue in the strugle for a viewer

It works now - im using apache and got it to work with wcscgi.exe, how happy am I.
