I thought Crystal allows you to distribute reports? Ie. it creates a set-up package along with a bunch of DLLs it needs. Not sure if you can still do that in V8. Alternatively if you have the option of developing your own, write one. Especially easy in .NET, mate of mine knocked one up in an afternoon.

Can open it & export it as summat else for you if you want...
|
Alternatively get a PDF driver and output to PDF. We use that method to distribute to client for sign off on reports.

I've got the "runtime" files someplace if that helps?

cheers for the help guys, but im still stuck, the thing is we have a company who produce rpt files for us from our LDC collection system, and we need some people in the building to be able to view them, they need to be up to date so exporting as another format is not an option :-(
