If it is for music stuff and gaming is not a priority, I would recommend having a look at the new soundcards with the new VIA Envy 24HT (i think) controller chip. They waste the Audigy series for sound quality etc, but lag way behind in the gaming stakes.

Cheers,

Nick

Thumbs up

Audigy is not serious enough for your application, you need to be looking at terratec ewx 24/96 or dmx fire 6, or an audiophile 24/96

http://www.m-audio.net are an example with their Revolution 7.1.

A review is here: http://www.xbitlabs.com/articles/mul...olution71.html

Like I said tho, if gaming then I would give it a miss. I have been more than happy with my Audigy and Audigy 2.

Cheers,

Nick

No idea. I am not an Audiophile where PC's are concerned, so I would rely on the other's advice more where dj type stuff is concerned. I believe that Scoobydoo555 may be of some use on this, as if memory serves, he is into all of this, albeit with a lowly MAC .

Nick
