Have inherited an old PC (circa 1993) which I intend using for my kids.

HDD is bu66ered - have a spare, but not sure which operating system will run on it.

Spec is 486 33MHz 4Mb RAM (Dell Dimension 433si).

Think that 3.11 would be the highest - would W95 squeeze on with more memory?

It was running on DOS before it went, though woudn't mind my kids getting used to the Windows environment...

Thanks.

IIRC, Win95 will work (I had a similar machine donkeys ago), but it will be a struggle with 4Mb RAM. Extra memory would be so worth it as it should cost buttons.

Crucial should have memory to match. Probably circa £20 per 16MB.
