screen captures of Windows Media Player?

Hi
I'm trying the capture the first frame of a windows media player mpeg using Paint Shop pro, but each time I save it and reload it its just black
Anyone know how I can do this?

yep - thats what I'm doing and its still black - tried it on 2 pcs now - both running XP / PSP7
take a screen capture, save as Jpeg, close then reopen file and voila - nowt but black

Yeah, this is because the media player is writing direct to the graphics card's memory, avoiding the Windows layer altogether. Turn off hardware acceleration and you should be able to do it.
Either that or if you're running XP, play the movie in Windows Movie maker, which has a facility to save stills from any movie it's playing.
