Hosting service: Dee Nine / Hostplus

A bad experience that needs to be shared.
My website hosting service had a disk crash over the weekend and their backup process was unsuccessful. All site content and webmail was lost and need to re-ftp the site across to get it back up. Webmail remains lost and I'm not a happy bunny as there was some important correspondence in there.
Just an advisory for anyone considering using this company for 'mission critical' hosting.
On the plus side, the e-mail support desk responded within an hour on a Sunday and an alternative server was put in place pretty quickly.

It seems to me that most companies leave backup to chance. Including some biggies. I learn't the hard way after losing the company about half a gig of data once, due to a dodgy backup.
Everyday i know check the backups full and make sure they have run correctly, open files etc etc.
Its a bitter lesson to learn.
