playing dvds using tv out?

any idea why i get no picture when playing dvds on tvout
I use power dvd, but for some reason it goes black on the tv.
Normally the tv is acting as a perfect clone on the monitor.
Soi can play games on the tv and browse, just not watch films on the tv

set the tv as default monitor that should do it, there is a proper way but cant remember and it's a bit late to go crashing about in the attic at mo
