Ok laptop recieved,
A Acer Travelmate 803LCi with all sorts of goodies on it,

Best of the lot is the Wifi Connection, i am now able to sit downstairs (keeps the wife happy) and surf the net on my broardband connection and access everything on my drives on the PC upstairs.
The Conections is really fast and i was even able to install software from the drives on the main PC on the to Laptop.

So far the following software is installed
Windows XP Pro
Office XP Pro
Visio 2002
Money 2003
Photoshop 7
Acrobat 5
Warcraft 3
Nero 5.5
Power DVD
Xara Webstyle 3.1

The Laptop is now pretty much a mirror set-up of my main PC, with access to the second hard drive with all my Music and Pictures on it.
Still having problems with the network set-up between the 2 machines but im getting there

Thanx for all the replys

Phil G

I still use W98 cause mine's a dog and won't handle XP. XP Home is the OS of choice unless you want to hook it up to a domain in which case you'll be needing XP Pro. Make sure you put it on classic style menu's though

Cool

I've got a little 1.2kg Fujitsu with a 633Mhz Crusoe chip in it. I run XP, MS Office 11 Beta, Visual Studio .Net, Dreamweaver, Trillian, Getright, Ahead Nero, PowerDVD, plus a few other bits and pieces. Oh, and WinAmp, to listen to the 32Gb of MP3s I've got on the HDD.
