What gaping security holes are being patched this time I wonder?

One is an AD vulnerability I think.

It ludicrous when you don't have enough confidence in what is supposedly an improvement to deploy it.

Then again how do you weigh up the consequences of being vulnerable to attack compared to downtime to repair a server screwed by a new patch?

No way I'd deploy at the moment. I'd test in the lab environment first and then deploy it

A REPORT ON W2K news points out that Service Pack 4 for Windows 2000, released at the end of last week, has already got seven fixes for the fix that fixed hundreds of bugs in the operating system.

Saved me downloading 30 odd other updates by doing this.
