Hi Puff was hoping you might be able to help
I installed the software yesterday (ver 2.02) on my ipaq 3830 (Rom Vers 1.20.21) and the maps on a sandisk 128mb SD card. Using a Leadtek 9532 GPS Receiver. I seem to be getting a sat fix ok reads speed, etc on the GPS screen.
GPS screen is set up as Tom Tom Navigator GPS and Serial cable on COM 1 is this ok?
Its just when I start using the Tom Tom software that all of a sudden it locks up. Tried installing the 2.22 upgrade but won't install

Hmmm
OK - "Radical" after having been drinking in the sun
TT navigator GPS & SC on COM1 are usually OK.. Just confirm that the tick box is checked?
2.22 u/grade not installing either not a good sign...
How much stuff on your iPaq? What else is there? Does the GPS work with anything else? Other s/ware installed? (Might conflict on the Com Port).
If there's not a lot, then it might be an idea to do a complete hard restart & install from scratch - having backed up data previously of course
I've not had any probs with TT & installation into any CE devices, which is why I think theres some sort of com port conflict...

I keep on getting lock up on a 3950 with TT2. I had terminal lock last week and rang Compaq who said it was a known TT problem and to contact them.
I tried to get TT online support but it doesn't send.
The 2.22 upgrade identifies that it cures Ipaq lock up.
I cannot d/load the 2.22 upgrade off the website so I'm Bolluxed.
NOT very impressed by Tomtom support AT ALL.

I bought TT in the last week, just the software version as I am using it with a BT GPS receiver.
I had no problem downloading the 2.22 upgrade from TomTom's site. In fact I did it before I received the software so don't know why you can't download it.
I did have a problem installing it though, couldn't update some file already in use. This was for the GPS module rather than the main TT application. However a soft reset cured that and it is running OK.
Bit concerned about the map data though. I have a friend who lives in a newish area of Bristol, he was one of the first to move in but that was 6 years ago. Although the road he lives off is present all the little estate roads are missing.
Need to find out who to complain to.

Problem NO MORE!
Managed to get the 2.22 upgrade to install and just stored a smaller portion of map on my card. Hey presto works a treat. What a cool program.
Cheers,
Mark.
