Graduate Network Engineer
#1
Hello,
I have just graduated with a 2:1 in Software Engineering with the help of Scoobynet to keep me sane and provide amusement, especially when the clock read 03:00.
After spending 14 months placement working as a Network Engineer I have decided that this is the career I would like to pursue.
I know a lot of you who post here work in IT so I thought you may know of any vacancies or be able to offer advice in this field.
Also my Dad keeps getting annoyed that I’ve always got his Subaru so he's told me to get a job so I can afford my own.
Simon

If you want Networks and East Anglia, Adastral Park is your best bet. Try to get on a BT graduate programme, in the current climate it is by far your best route in - get a few yeasr experience from BT and then either do a stint in London or move elsewhere in BT. I'm not a BT permie but those I know who've come through the graduate entry route seem in the main to have done well out of it.
