Halo on the X-Box WOW!
#1
Played this over the weekend against my brother - excellent, streets ahead of my PS2, what a great piece of kit (and looks cool in green).
I have never really played this type of game before but want to now - so, two questions:
1) if i get an X Box, could I play against others online (I have broadband)
2) what's the nearest equivalent for the PC?
thanks!

1) Not without connecting it to your PC via the ethernet cable at the back and you'll need some software (can't remember the name, but I'm sure someone here will help)
2) Halo for PC (comming soon), other than that, I don't think there is a game that's quite like Halo, although BF1942 does allow you to drive vehicles. If you're talking First Person Perspective games like Halo then there's tons on the PC.
Check out the 150MB gamefootage movie of Halo2, looks amazing.
I'm having an 8-player 2-xbox link up session on saturday night with some mates and a couple of tv's. (pizza optional)
It's great for multiplayer but I found single player repetitive and dull after the halfway point.

The software PiNkEyE69 mentioned is XBConnect. It fools the X-Box into thinking its connected to other x-Boxes via a system link cable, but actually connects to a server so you can play others online.
Of course Halo 2 is on the horizon so you can play that on X-Box Live.
