I'm probbaly being stoopid here, but I can't see the Titan mail option I think you describe i.e a mail facility that can receive and store email on the domain name you've bought and allows POP3/SMTP access by Outlook.
I'm currently on Eclipse broadband and have set up Outlook to do POP3 (incoming) from my Freeserve email account and SMTP (outgoing) via the Eclipse mail server - when I tried SMTP out via Freeserve it didn't work The POP3 facility is the one I think that Freeserve will turn off in 90 days if I don't send a SMTP email through them - which means I have to do a dial-up to Freeserve to do so.

if you dont need a fancy domain name, why not set up a yahoo account?
You get the best of both worlds there, pop3 through outlook and webmail if required. Very simple to set up and reliable

Forgot to mention, i got a .co.uk domain name for 2 years, £10
www.freepaking.co.uk the mail forwarding facility is pretty good too, u give people your domain name email address. ie chris@chrislynch.co.uk and it can be forwarded to any other email address u might have.
For example, my chris@chrislynch.co.uk email arrives in my yahoo mail box

I really want my own fancy name - rather than a yahoo, freeserve one etc
EDIT ...and mail forwarding to freeserve has the problems outlined above ... and when sending out, my sender address is the freeserve one, not my fancy one

So you take the POP3 mailbox, and use that to recieve mails sent to anythingyouwat@yourdomain.com and have your outbound SMTP server set to be your ISP's one, but with your account details showing yuor mail address as anythingyouwant@yourdomain.com

Aha..the mist clears (a bit). When I got my domain from Titan, the only option (IIRC) was mail forwarding.
Now I see you can get a POP3 mailbox, so there's an email on its way to Titan to see how to change to it
