creative speaker problems

Hi All,
i have a creative soundblaster live! value card in my pc and have just purchased a set of creative inspire 5.1 5100 speakers which is 5 satellite speakers and a sub. However, no matter how hard i try i cannot get any more than just the front 2 speakers to work, is there something obvious i should know about this?

Hmm ... as I recall the Creative software asks during install what speakers you have and I just selected 5.1. I assume when you said "you've tried" you've been in Creative Surround Mixer and have selected 5.1. Assuming you use XP go to Control Panel -> Sound and Audio Devices -> Advanced button at bottom of screen in the "Speaker Settings" section and select 5.1 from there. I've found that the OS (or summit else) sometimes resets this.
