I have 3 field

playerForename,playerSurname,cardtype.

I want to inpu the SQL so it groups together.

The players name, and a number of the yellows and red cards.

Unfortunatly my SQL knowledge is 0!!

Im using access for the queries but im not sure how complex i can make it.

i want the query to show

Player forename, Player surname, total reds, total yellow then i use GUI in VB to display.

Thanks

Si

Why not just
forename, surname, total_yellow, total_red

Then select * and sort them on surname ?

Super,

I'd suggest making two queries, one with F&S and reds, the other with F&S and yellows, then joining them on F&S. However, your database will blow a fuse if you have two different players with the same name - if I was your lecturer I'd tell you to look at your data structure.

Is ScoobyNet going to get partial credit for your degree?
