PC World saves the day. No really.

Couldn't you have:
1) Disconnected secure machine from the network
2) Connected laptop to secure machine with a crossover Ethernet cable
3) Copied files
4) Disconnected laptop
5) Reconnected secure machine to the network?
It's no less secure than copying the files across using a USB drive.

I've just moved to 2000 from NT on my work machine, nearly slapped someone the other day when they rammed on into my lappy, I felt violated... in a security type of way.

**** ! That still not fixed ?
Anyway, basically PC World helped me out of a hole (when an offsite demo I'm doing was nearly scupered by a dead floppy drive) by having cheap (by my standards) USB keys available. £19.99 for a 32Mb key is pretty good IMHO.
Anyway, you lot above. The laptop is also secured to the same level as the main machine but just not allowed on the network. I.e. there are machines that are allowed on the network (and must stay on the network) and those that are not. In addition, all the media on site is being destroyed before any of the machines can leave the site. Shame really as the main machine has some nice 15k SCSI discs
Cheers

USB key was checked into the site after being thoroughly looked over by the security types. Needless to say it won't be leaving the site afterwards
Nah !

A certain retailer that advertises here is launching them in the UK on 23 June. Pricing will be the same as manufacturer direct with easier UK shipping
Now... the dials can be branded based on a minimum 100 unit order (single memory capacity) and a 15% surcharge. Scoobynet group buy edition anyone?
