Thanks for the help guys
AMD do recommend 300w psu's for their systems.I've just spoke to a local computer shop and he has a 550w psu which he tells me runs less than 33db (According to the retail box anyway).Lookin at the report that Kamikaze kindly posted (Tom's Hardware link),it would seem that 33db is a healthy level so I'm tempted to go for it and see how it goes!!

Cheers

Nick

Edited to add pic of psu's under full load:

Unhappy

I wanna replace my noisy 300w power supply for a nice n quiet one. Just had a quick look on www.quietpc.com and they have a 300w psu for £52.Anyone know of any other good places to source things like this from? (My machine is AMD based processor - XP2100+ and obviously the psu needs to be ATX based)
Any help greatly appreciated?

Cheers

Nick

I have Various Enermax, Antec and a couple of those Q-Tec PSU's, but the Zalman is quality. If the price isn't hilarious, I would go for that.

Make sure its not a cheap nasty 550w as you would be better off with a quality 300w IMHO.
Should cost at least £50. If less I would steer clear.
