Hi,

To any users of phpBB that might be able to help????

we're running this on a local internal web server within our company. It works great except for one thing.

When you go to post a link to a document on a network server it doesn't work. i.e \\servername\index.html

However if you type \\ipaddress\index.html (where IP address is an IP address before people start to get funny ) - it works fine.

Is there any reason why this might be doing this?

Does the server name resolve to the IP address correctly when you try a ping?

Try adding an entry in the hosts file see if that resolves it.
