hi help .in the dial up connection box i cant save my password, Really weird as when i try and save it, I get a different one come back up

What version of Windows are you running?

Under XP the password box will always show 16 dots,I think it is, irrespective of how long the actual password is. Its a security feature to make it harder to guess the password.

Nope - it's a bug in Windows. Probably this .. Go to Network settings and add "Client for Microsoft Networks" even if you're not on the network. This will let you save the password.
