Konica

What are Konica digital cameras like? I quite like the spec of the kd400z Konica
but I can only find buyers opinions not a full review. Has anyone got one. What other cameras should I look at apart from digital ixus?
I like to think I'm an expert at most things but when it comes to cameras I'm of the point and shoot school! I just want a small camera I will actually take with me, quality pictures and a decent optical zoom. Preferably less than £400 (the wife says preferably a lot less!)

I have a Konica KD-400Z and am very happy with it.
Here are my experiences:
Pros
Solid Aluminium Construction
Very fast start up
Records video with sound (15secs)
Deals well with difficult exposures
Simple to use
Extremely sharp images
Very compact
Holds 2 memory types simultaneously
Cons
Short battery life (charger supplied. Spare battery £30)
Red eye when using flash(easy to remove with software though)
No software supplied with camera
If you get one, get a Secure Digital Memory Card rather than a Memory Stick as it is much faster at writing images to the card. The camera is supplied with a card but it is very small like all cards supplied with new cameras. Ideally go for a 128MB one.

I have the KDZ400.
Excellent camera for the size and brilliant quality.
BUT!!!!!
1. The screen is positioned in the worst place & end up getting finger prints all over it
2. Not to impressed with the focusing of pics. It requires a lot of manual adjustment to get a decent wuality pic.
Ive now changed to a Minolta Dimage. Best camera so far.
