ihave a laptop with infra red port, running winXP
i also have a (O2 contract) Sony ericsson T68i, with infra red port
Both are communicating
can i gain access to the internet on my laptop, ie Iinternet explorer using the combination of the two
If so, how?

Easypeasy
I take it you have a GPRS contract? Better & more cost-effective than GSM data dialup.
Goto O2 MobileWeb & select "Get Set Up" then follow instructions
Bluetooth is a better way of communicating between lappy & T68 but thats up to you.
I was quite happily sitting @ Leda last Friday, with my lappy VPN'd into my office over GPRS, doing emails whilst I awaited my shocks being rebuilt Also a bit of moderating as well

says connection problems or summink ???

the laptop is seeing the phone through infra red
do i have to do anything with the phone, ie turn on GPRS WAP or something or does the Laptop do that automatically
everything that should be set up on the phone, ie GPRS is.

tried sending an e-mail to the e-mail address on your profile , but for some reason i cant, anyway....
Im being a right mong with regards to connecting my laptop to the net using my t68i
will it be allright to phone you on the number above tomorrow sometime, and get some idiot proof talk through instructions
i've been to o2, downloaded the software, laptop can see the phone on infra red etc etc....but when i try to connect it goes all 'pete tong' .
should the modem shown on the o2 programme be T68i, cos mine is saying different and i cant work out how to install the T68i as a modem
my mob no is 07739808562 so you will know if it is me phoning
