My Nildram ADSL disconnects randomly, sometimes it does for days and then I get a spate of annoying drop outs ?

Nildram recommend putting the latest drivers on, they chant this Mantra every time I ring, I have put the latest drivers on and it still does it.

its a Connexant internal ADSL modem, shall I buy something better, could it be my phone line ?

Help !

I have been with Nildram for some time now and only experienced this with the first eTac Connexant ADSL router I bought.

I then bought the SpeedTouch 530 to share my LAN Internet and Xbox Live

Never had a single disconnection since so try different hardware before blaming Nildram as I think they rock as a provideer.

You can always use bt_test@startup_domain account if you ever feel your ISP has connectivity issues. bt_test will verify that your line and adsl equipment works

bt_test@startup_domain
ignores password

Once connected you will be able to connect to only one website www.bt.net/digitaldemo

I am well impressed with Nildram, support is second to none really, just want to rule it out before I start buying hardware, suspect a new modem router thingy may be in the pipe line as I have 3 pc's and loads of spare network cards !
