Don't drop the firewall to minimum, as that potentially allows more chance of hackers (er, crackers). Go to the bit in NPF (in advanced option)where you can enable settings for individual sites, and give ScoobyNet some extra freedom. Also, if you are using IE 6, check settings in there, and if necessary give ScoobyNet some more access.

Question

At least if playing with the Firewall (general) settings can get things to work, you know that it is NPW that is causing the problem!

Have you been to NPW, Options, Personal Firewall, Advanced Options..., the "Web" tab and specifically enabled "Cookies" and "Browser (User-agent)" for "scoobynet.co.uk" (not the default settings for *.co.uk)?

That's what i have, and it all works fine!

Are you 100% it is Norton causing the problem?

Try turning off your Firewall for a few seconds and then refresh Scoobynet. Can you see the button then? If not, it is more likely to be an IE problem.

I think that you would be one very unlucky person if you got hacked etc. in the few seconds that your firewall was turned off.

It is to do with the 'ad blocking' because the reply buyyon has "adid" in it from 'ThreadID'
