Just wondered if anyone has had any sucess in overclocking a dell pc, inparticular this model?

LOL i know, but i'm just wondering if its possible to do.

All its used for is MS Office and surfing

If it can be safely made to run at 1000MHz then i would be

Apparently Dell lock their machines down to prevent overclocking. This is done to minimise warranty claims so I believe.

You might possibly be able to find a faster CPU at a computer fair for a few quid though, again it depends on which form factor your Dell is. Something like a PowerLeap PL-iP3/1.3 GHz Celeron might also work.
