Hi,
Completed the missions!
I've been playing it for the last 2 weeks solidly, it's a fantastic game!
The only bummer IMHO is the multiplayer. In other games (like diablo) you connect to a central server, where all the characters are stored.
In freelancer, the pilot is stored in the local server you connect to. That's the only one!
So if you want to move servers, you lose the pilot.
Kinda sucks..

dunno if they have fixed it now, but in the US version the Ati drivers needed the accelleration knocked back one notch. This sorted a lot of the menu'ing issues out.

Knocking back the hardware acceleration one notch stops mouse acceleration, which is what caused the prob in the first place, it does work tho.

This is a different problem I have with the GeForce3
The in-game 3D graphics aren't textured at all.
Everything works right up to the point where you actually take control of your character and start playing.
eg. the menus, the opening spacestation explosion, etc are all fine. Its just when you start playing all graphics don't have any textures and appear a plain green color.

Pete! Haven't seen you on here for AGES!
I'm running DX9.a, Detonator 43.51
Think I'll have a look in my BIOS to see if there's anything unusual set.

PS: Pete, check out my UPLINK thread!

Have upgraded my ship and weps. Gone to complete mission three, the Reinhart or what ever that are meant to attack after the cut screen stay neutral. As a result I can't go any further.

Just about to purchase the TITAN Heavy Fighter. I have finished the single player (in about 15 hours) and have continued on in Elite style. Trading from pillar to post, finding hidden areas and jump holes.
To get money quick find the wrecks. They usually hold some nice booty to sell on. It's a good game, but I think once I have the Titan (the daddy) that will be it. Hopefully they will release a mission pack or similar.
