Our Nildram ADSL connection was completed a few days back and have only just got around to doing anything with it
I bought a ZyXEL Prestige 650HO which will work fine for our 2 machines but do I still need to buy a Micro filter for each of our BT sockets (2)? The RJ11 cable supplied does not have the right end for a BT socket.
I used to have NTL's broadband service and required to additional things except the router.
If I do need Micro filter's, does it matter which one? Are their certain filters for routers and certain filters for directly connected PC's (via ADSL modems)?
Broadbandbuyer have some, but they range between £4.00 + VAT to £7.50 + VAT.
Thanks guys
Darren

Yep you will for ADSL, one for each phone socket.
You could do without and have really noisey voice calls and data connections which drop all the time

Dunno . The ones I have were free from Pipex and they seem to work ok. Can't remember the model or the manufacturer - plugged them in and they work

Cheers again Miles
I popped down to a local computer shop at lunch and bought 2 cheap filters. All in, it was £12.00.
Cheers
